Goalie Development

We work to encompass all areas of goaltending from the team coaching down to goalie specific training with Shield Goalie Academy. These 60-minute training sessions take place at Kasabuski Arena.

All goalies will work on goalie fundamentals that will create a strong, technical base necessary for a successful goalie.

This supplemental training is available to all Saugus Lynnfield goalies, from Mite up through Bantam.

Full time goalies at the Squirt - Bantam level are offered a tuition discount.

At the Mite/8U level, goalies are rotated on a weekly basis. Many times, players who enjoy being in net will play more often. There is no tuition discount at this level of play.

Equipment is provided for players at the Mite/8U level. At all other levels, players must acquire their own equipment.

Because we have had great success recently developing goalies, we have access to some used equipment that has been passed down and can be provided to older players.
