2010-2011 Wack a Puck Program

Lynnfield Youth Hockey is bringing Wack a Puck back in house and will be running the sessions in Peabody at Mcann Rink.  This year Lynnfield will be operating the program under the new USA Hockey ADM Guidelines which emphasizes small group stations and small sided 4 on 4 games.

The cost of the program is $600 which includes X-Ice Games, X-Ice Skills, a jersey and .  Lynnfield also has a limited amount of USA Hockey equipment sets for rent which include everything the new player needs other than a helmet and skates.  The additional rental cost is $60 and it is on a first come first serve basis.  This equipment must be returned at the end of the season.

The WAP program draws its players from the Learn to Skate program as well as other neighboring towns.  The emphasis is on basic hockey skills, skating, team play, and learning in a fun, non-competitive environment.

Players are required to wear full hockey equipment including helmet, hockey gloves, shoulder pads, hockey pants, shin pads, and protective equipment.   Hockey shirts will be supplied by Lynnfield Youth Hockey.

All adults helping out on the ice must wear a helmet.

The WAP program features practices and games on Saturday and Sunday. The focus will be on skills, cross ice and half ice games per the ADM Model. WAP starts on October 2nd and ends February 20th.

Lynnfield Youth Hockey partners with other cities and towns to share ice for the purpose of practices and scrimmages.

Location: Peabody McCann Rink 511 Lowell Street, Peabody, MA

When:  Saturday Skills at 10:00 AM and Sunday X-Ice games at 7:45 AM.
