MITE 1

Jim Diozzi

HEAD COACH

Jim returns for his fifth year of coaching with the North Shore Stars, this season with our top Mite team.  Coach Jim played four seasons of hockey at Saugus High School, before playing at Western New England College.  Following his playing days, he assisted coaching the Boys Varsity Hockey team at Melrose High School. 

Last season, he was Head Coach with our Mite 1 team and Assistant Coach with both Squirt 1 and Pee Wee 1.  Under Coach Jim, the Mite1's enjoyed a successful season advancing to the Championship game of the Valley Hockey League AAA Mite Division.  Jim also serves as the Mite Director for Saugus-Lynnfield Youth Hockey.

Jim currently resides in Saugus with his wife and three children, all current Stars players, Dalton, Gavin and Austen.  

8U GIRLS

John Burns

COACH

John is in his third season coaching with the North Shore Stars, this season coaching our 8U Girls team.  

Last season, John led the Mite 2 team on a successful season in the VHL advancing to the Semi-Finals of the Valley Hockey League AA Division.  

John currently resides in Lynnfield with his family including a hat-trick of current Stars players, Michael, Ryan and Rose.
